A work in progress: for my conceptual photography course I am looking at photographic technologies such as Instagram and Hipstamatic, and how it will impact the lives of future generations. When every moment of a child’s life is now documented - can anything ever be special? For this photo, I shot a short video on my iPhone of my niece’s fifth birthday (and everyone taking photos of her), extracted keyframes, and then put them through Hipstamic several times, quickening the effect of “generation loss.”
